Vouwblad 11 is a joint project between, Julius Vermeulen, PostNL and David Quay, designer/typographer in conjuction with Arie Lenoir, Drukkerij LenoirSchuring.

Julius Vermeulen posed the question to 100 designers and historians:
‘What is the future of the postage stamp?’ Over 30 replies were received and published in a small publication. The vouwblad was folded and wrapped around the booklet to make the cover.

Decennia lang hebben ontwerpers, kunstenaars, fotografen en illustratoren een bijzondere bijdrage geleverd aan de vormgeving van de Nederlandse postzegel. Door de actualiteit van e-mail, sms en andere digitale media staat het schrijven (fysiek op papier) en dus het postzegelgebruik onder grote druk. Wat is de betekenis van de postzegel in deze tijd… kan de postzegel als (cultureel) medium een functie blijven vervullen? Vouwblad 11 probeerd het antwoord te vinden.
